As Europe’s economies gradually reopen after the coronavirus pandemic, taxi drivers are faced with the challenge of working safely.

However, some taxi drivers have dismissed the separation screens as “germ collection points that reduce air flow,” and have expressed concern that the retro-installed screens give a false sense of security for drivers and passengers.
Instead, opponents of wearing the screens opt for electrostatic cleaning of their car, the same process used by commercial airlines, while also providing hand sanitizer for users.
