Health throws a guide to safety recommendations for restaurants and bars in Murcia against Covid-19.

The Department of Sports and Health has developed an infographic in which it explains, in a simple and graphic way, how to rearrange spaces, ways to adapt food safety procedures, as well as cleaning and disinfection needs. A guide of safety recommendations for catering establishments as a preventive measure against Covid-19 and thus maintain food safety.
In this way, after the entry of the Region of Murcia in phase 3 of de-escalation, the council has prepared an infographic that details, in a simple and graphic way, some necessary protection actions for both staff and for the clients.
The guide explains how to organize the different spaces of the establishment, ways to adapt food safety procedures to the current situation of the pandemic, protocol for ordering and distributing food, the method of payment or communication with the customer, as well as cleaning needs and disinfection, among other recommendations.
“We are facing a situation of great uncertainty, so, at this time, our highest priority is to work for the safety of citizens. We want these recommendations to help these establishments on the way to the new normal and also to help regain the trust of their customers, ”explains Felipe Coello.
The infographic also includes some measures for hospitality workers, from what to do if you have symptoms, protective clothing and movements within the establishment.
The Councilor for Health recalls that “so far there is no scientific evidence that Covid-19 is transmitted through food, but in these environments it is necessary to apply all the measures that prevent the chain of contagion.”
Likewise, the Health Department of the Murcia City Council joins the call of the World Food Safety Day, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of health and sustainable development from the promotion of self-responsibility.
