The NS also had to warn against excessive traffic in the trains between Amsterdam and Zandvoort. On the beaches, on the other hand, it seemed to be quieter than Saturday and everyone kept away from each other.
However, a number of incidents were reported that required enforcement. For example, in the night from Saturday to Sunday, the police had to end a neighborhood party in which sixty people were present and the police in Rotterdam evacuated a park.
Partly because of the enormous crowds in the parks, the Rotterdam mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb decided three parks to close in the evening and night until further notice.
Security Council looks forward to a new phase with great courage
Quite a few corona measures are relaxed on Monday: the so-called ‘1-June package’ means, among other things, that the catering industry will open again. You can also go outside with so many people getting together if you want, provided you keep 1.5 meters away.
Chairman of the Security Council, Hubert Bruls, has seen how the Dutch deal wisely with earlier relaxation. “I am therefore looking forward to this new phase with great confidence,” says Bruls.
“I call on everyone to take into account and adhere to the basic rules that still apply, such as washing hands, keeping a distance of 1.5 meters, avoiding crowds and staying home in case of complaints. This is how we keep the corona virus under control . “
