In 2014, the Texel diver Gerrit-Jan Betsema made a unique find: he fished up a valuable seventeenth-century dress. And that is not the only thing of value that lies at the bottom of the Wadden Sea. Countless wrecks threaten to perish with their contents if no one secures these historical objects. Gerrit-Jan, like journalist Arnold van Bruggen, thinks that the submarine museum urgently needs to be brought to safety.
