The municipal departments of Education and Youth joined forces with parents to clean and do some rehabilitation work in the Cristóbal Colón Children’s Garden, so that the children find the facilities in good condition when scheduled to return to the classroom.
Gladis Villarreal González, director of the Department of Education, said that students from the University of Durango, Ladislao Farías and Vizcaya high schools, as well as parents, joined in the cleaning tasks, who put all their efforts to improve the conditions of the campus. , which had an aspect of abandonment, due to the lack of school activities, in almost two years.
Mayor Mario Dávila Delgado, announced in recent days that they would work on the rehabilitation of drinking water and electricity lines, which could have a deteriorated condition due to lack of use.
So once the cleaning and rehabilitation of what could present some damage is concluded, it would only remain that the SEP will focus on preventive measures, among them, ventilate the classrooms, and cafeterias, where they are distributed the best possible furniture to maintain a healthy distance, as well as the use of face masks.
