State of Mexico Intensifies Vaccination efforts ​Against Influenza and COVID-19

toluca, Méx.—The State of Mexico has​ made significant strides in its vaccination campaign against influenza and COVID-19, administering over 2.3 ‍million doses ‍sence the initiative began⁣ on October 15, 2024.The campaign,which will continue until ‌March 28,2025,has been a collaborative⁤ effort led by the Ministry of Health,ensuring free and safe access to vaccines for all residents.

The‌ Intensive Winter Vaccination Campaign, a pivotal phase ‌of this effort, ran from November 4⁤ to December 31, 2024.During this⁢ period, ​the cold network was ​mobilized, utilizing​ radio dialog equipment,‍ public address systems, and a dedicated team of health ⁤professionals ⁢to reach communities across ⁢the state.

Secretary of Health Macarena Montoya Olvera highlighted the scale⁤ of the operation, stating, ​“for this intensive campaign, the vaccination ​brigades traveled simultaneously to 700 locations in the municipalities of the ⁢State of Mexico.” The initiative was supported by 2,294 Health Brigades and a team of 3,572 professionals, including Vaccinators, Primary Health Care⁢ Technicians (TAPS), and Health Caregivers.
