Safaruddin, the father of a young high school student with the initials AA (13) who was murdered and raped in the Chinese cemetery, Palembang, South Sumatra, cried with emotion after hearing that the suspect IS ( 16), who killed his child, the public prosecutor (JPU) was sentenced to death.

Udin did not expect that the expected demands from the prosecutor would be in line with his wishes, one of the defendants would have to receive the death penalty. The request for the death penalty is a new hope for Udin after the other three defendants were sentenced to 10 and 5 years.

After the prosecutor read the charges to the IS defendant, Udin, together with his lawyer, was invited by the judge to enter. A trembling voice was heard, as if shouting with joy because it was hoped that the accused would be sentenced to death.

According to detikSumbagsel’s comments, after leaving the courtroom, Udin didn’t say much, he was just quiet but he seemed to be shaking when he heard the demands read by the prosecutor.

“Earlier the father of the victim was asked to come in and he had heard that an IS defendant had to die and he expressed himself before the judge demanding justice for the death of his beloved daughter and the family hopes for an unnatural death,” said the lawyer for the family of the victim of 911 Hotman Paris, Zahra Amalia.

Zahra said that even though one of the defendants was sentenced to death, there was no sense of remorse in the accused. Likewise, the accused’s family is yet to receive an apology from the victim’s family.

“Until now we have not apologized, but despite that, the family is still opening the door to apologize,” he said.

At the same time, the lawyer of the accused, Hermawan, said that the four defendants were charged with several articles, namely 76 D junto 81 paragraph 5 of the Junto Defense Law 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. He believes that the defendants should not be charged with several articles because they have been proven innocent.

“From these requests, we will file a defense at trial today, Wednesday (9/10/2024),” he said.

Hermawan said from the facts of the trial that the deceased died from the charge at 14.00-14.45 WIB. At the same time, what was confirmed by witness N was confirmed by a female witness who said that the victim was still alive at 14.00 WIB.

“So how could it be that he was already dead at 14.00 WIB. This is based on the BAP and the witnesses presented by the prosecution at the trial. We will prove it further forward at today’s trial,” he said.
