The main session began with a speech by Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, in which he touched on the importance of the forum, which coincides with two important events, the first being the Year of Sustainability, with its sublime values and goals, and the second being the Global Summit of Governments that look to the future, stressing that the UAE is under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, established a conscious, educated and patriotic generation, and laid the foundations for science and knowledge, establishing schools and universities and giving Scientific research is of great importance, and medical education has had a large share of the UAE’s knowledge vision. Because it mainly touches people’s needs, and this is what research, studies and the great progress made by the UAE in the academic medical fields have translated worldwide.
He said, “What distinguishes the education system in the UAE is its keeping pace with modern technology, artificial intelligence, distance learning, continuous learning programs, and the great renaissance witnessed in the past years, as well as its enactment of advanced legislation and modern curricula, along with its full belief that investment in education is investment.” The winner is always the one who benefits the community and future generations.
Dr. Amer Ahmed Al Sharif, Executive Director of the Dubai Academic Health Foundation and Director of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, also spoke during the main session about the importance of this forum in strengthening the UAE’s role and leadership in the health field, and highlighting its local and global efforts, praising the role of the Saeed Ahmed Lootah Foundation. Ahmed bin Mishar Al Muhairi talked about the advanced education laws in the UAE, which enhanced the quality of education and its competitiveness in the world. The forum included 9 other important sessions, in which experts from the United States of America and the United Kingdom participated, and speakers from the UAE and Arab countries, during which they discussed important topics such as building environmentally friendly medical facilities, managing examination systems using modern methods, simulation training, surgery using artificial intelligence, and interactive education. , and other important axes in the academic health and medical fields.
Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim inspected the exhibition accompanying the forum, where he was briefed on the latest medical equipment and simulation training solutions. On the sidelines of the forum, the Dubai Medical College for Girls signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with UCL University with the aim of developing medical education in the college by establishing a center of excellence in medical education, launching joint training programs, in addition to establishing an office to develop scientific research in the college.
