Previously, the position was held by Tolkunbek Abdygulov
President Sadyr Japarov appointed a new adviser to the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from Kyrgyzstan. It was Lilia Kadyrberdieva, who was previously an employee of the IMF office in Washington. She also held the position of an economist in the permanent representation of the fund in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The President signed the corresponding order. The reason for the appointment was the presentation of the Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Bokontaev.
Previously, the position of adviser was held by Tolkunbek Abdygulov.
Recall that the removal of Tolkunbek Abdygulov, the ex-chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, also took place on the proposal of the current leadership of the financial regulator.
The personnel reshuffle took place against the backdrop of a criminal case initiated by the State Committee for National Security against the former management of the financial regulator and members of its board over the acquisition of a controlling stake in OJSC Rosinbank (now OJSC KeremetBank) for 8 billion soms.
Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev published a post on his Twitter page in which he expressed the opinion that the removal of Abdygulov took place in connection with this investigation.
