Ahmad Solihin became one Bobotoh who died at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA). His family told a sad story about the condition of the deceased.
Laga Persib Bandung vs Persebaya Surabaya in the event 2022 President’s Cup at the GBLA Stadium, Friday (17/6/2022) caused grief. Two of them died as a result of being crammed into the stadium.
The crowds caused Ahmad, who is from Bandung, and another fan, Sopiana Yusup from Bogor, to lose their lives due to the crowds.
Representative of Ahmad Solihin’s family, H Ade Fahrudin Rozi, said that the family heard the news in the early hours of the morning. His condition was pathetic.
“He received news (he died) at 01.00 WIB, he said at Kartika Asih Hospital. All the family went there immediately,” said Ade Fahrudin at the funeral home, Saturday (6/18/2022).
“He said he was stepped on, the fence is a collapsed fence. And from the body there are scars from being stepped on,” said Fahrudin.
Fahrudin said that Ahmad Solihin had said goodbye to watch the Persib vs Persebaya match with his brother. Fahrudin had fainted in the terrible incident.
“There are two of my brothers, one survived, one fainted and was taken by a friend. I’ve found you and brought you home. Congratulations, you’re at home. The other one died,” said Fahrudin.
The police explained that there was negligence regarding the organization of the match. Stadium overcapacity because the audience who come and enter the stadium exceeds the number of tickets sold.
