Sadio Mané continues to score goals. Author of a double, the Senegalese striker greatly contributed to the victory of his team Al-Nassr against Al Oruba (3-0) this Saturday, during the 6th day of the Saudi Pro League.
The “Lions” striker scored his first two goals of the season in the league. First in the 29th minute, after an assist from Cristiano Ronaldo in the area, he placed an unstoppable shot from a tight angle to deceive the Al Oruba goalkeeper (2-0).
Ronaldo himself had opened the scoring earlier, from the penalty spot in the 17th minute. Then, in the 71st minute, on a cross from Nawaf Boushal, Mané volleyed at the far post, thus sealing the victory (3-0).
With four goals and three assists in his last five matches in all competitions, Mané is in excellent form ahead of the qualifying matches for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), where Senegal will face Malawi. October 11 and 15.
The former Liverpool striker also occupies second place in the ranking of the best assists in the Saudi Pro League, with five assists, behind Moussa Diaby (7 assists).
This victory allows Al-Nassr to record a third consecutive victory, thus consolidating its third place in the standings with 14 points, one unit behind provisional leader Al-Hilal of Kalidou Koulibaly, who plays this Saturday evening against Al- Ahli by Edouard Mendy.
