The Côte-Nord Community Development Corporation supported 123 projects by investing $ 4M in the year of the pandemic. That’s three times as many projects and twice as much investment. SADC recently published an impressive annual report.

The stakes were high in 2020 with several economic sectors slowed down by the pandemic. The Government of Canada has given more money to the CFDCs by creating emergency funds to support SMEs in this context.

SADC Côte-Nord director Annick Thibouthot believes that it is more important than ever to support entrepreneurs. There are many good projects in the area from Port-Cartier to Blanc-Sablon.

The SADC network gives the example of the Havre-Saint-Pierre Les Vagues marine leisure shop in a national press release. It experienced significant development in 2020 thanks to a contribution from the SADC Côte-Nord, which made it possible to diversify the services offered by the young company.
