FAJAR.CO.ID,JAKARTA — Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljonoe is called a political tool. Following his attitude in managing the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
This was conveyed by the former Secretary of State-Owned Enterprises Muhammad Said Didu. According to him, many stadiums need to be renovated.
But PUPR only glanced at JIS. Basuki even invited other parties to fix JIS.
“And PUPR seems to have turned into a political tool because as far as I know, many stadiums are undergoing renovations but what is always publicized is JIS,” he said as quoted by Fajar.co.id, Wednesday (5/7/2023).
Didu called Basuki a good person. But now, he calls it like being used as a political ‘bulldozer’
“I am sad to see that the Minister of PUPR, Pak Basuki, who I know is a good person, seems to have been used as a political bulldozer,” he explained.
Previously, Basuki gave notes that had to be fixed at JIS. Namely the matter of grass which is considered not to FIFA standard and access to JIS which must also be added.
Basuki invited other ministries to jointly revamp JIS. So that it can be used for international events.
