Sad news fell with terrible force on Kiril Marichkov. As he was returning from the market, the legendary rocker realized that a neighbor had been mentioned. The frontman of “The Crickets” learned the news from a mourner hanging on a tree, the paparazzi of “Weekend” saw.
The 77-year-old musician was walking along Oborishte Street, where he lives, with warm bread in his bag. He had bought the loaves from a nearby bakery where he is a regular customer.
At the crossroads with Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Blvd., the famous “cricket” looked away for a moment and his focus was on an obituary that had just been placed. Marichkov stumbled suddenly, then approached the mourning message and read it. It turned out that his neighbor – a set, remembered 40 days ago, and he only now finds out about her death.
The singer of dozens of hits stood in front of the mourner in a minute of silence, then continued home. After a few meters, however, he stopped again and sent a condolence message from his phone.
