SOLO – Sad news comes from the world of Indonesian puppetry. Famous puppeteer Ki Manteb Sudharsono died at 09.45 WIB, Friday (2/7/2021).
“Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rojiun. It has been requested in the presence of God Almighty, the late Mr. Ki H manteb soedarsono (mastermind manteb) At 09:45 hrs,” wrote the information received by Okezone.
Ki Manteb Sudharsono was born in Palur, Mojolaban, Sukoharjo, August 31, 1948, aged 72 when he died.
He is a famous puppeteer from Central Java. He is nicknamed by his fans as the Dalang Satan because of his skills in playing wayang.

Ki Manteb is also regarded as a pioneer in combining the art of puppetry with modern musical instruments.
