He was part of the team at ZPH 2022 in Beijing, where the Slovaks completed the first appearance under five rings and took 7th place. The Slovakian Parahockey Facebook page announced about it.
“My friends, like everyone else, our parahockey family not only has bright days, but also dark days. Unfortunately, we have to inform you with pain that we have lost our member and player Peť Kaščák. It is difficult for us to write anything about it, we are very sad,” said the Slovak parahockey team. He did not specify the cause of death.
One of the few “amphibians” in Slovak parasports, he started as a parachutist and even started at the Summer Paralympics in London 2012. He has been a member of the parahockey team since 2017 and was not absent from his greatest successes. He had an accident in 2002, when he was hit by a train at a crossing.
The farewell to the athlete will be on Friday, November 15 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home in Ľubotín in the Stará Ľubovňa district.
