The actor, singer and director has been in the hospital for more than a year. He underwent heart surgery last March, but complications arose and Josef Laufer has not communicated with the world since. He ended up in artificial sleep, all his loved ones believed he would wake up. They still do not completely lose hope, but after so many months it is not easy at all.

According to the well-known producer, the singer’s health alternates between better and worse phases, but in principle it remains stable. “We all hope, but honestly I’m more and more skeptical and more and more sad,” Lichtenberg admitted.
Nevertheless, hope is not completely dashed and he believes that one day the actor will open his eyes and communicate again. Lichtenberg is trying to come up with anything that could help Laufer. “In the theater, we recorded the messages that Esther had there (daughter of Laufer – editor’s note) delivered. So he has a device where we play, sing, talk to him. He has spoken messages, they put it on his ears. At least that’s how we try to encourage him. If he hears it, I don’t know.
