One family was killed in the incident fire in one of the housing estates in Cipondoh, Kota Tangerang. There are sad facts behind this deadly fire incident.
This fire occurred in one of the houses in the housing estate on Tuesday (9/11/2021) at around 04.30 WIB.
“The fire is thought to have originated from an electric short circuit. When the fire was extinguished, four people died in the house,” said Head of Public Relations of the Tangerang Metro Police, Kompol Abdul Rachim.
The Tangerang City Damkar deployed six cars with a total of approximately 28 personnel to extinguish the fire. According to him, the fire was extinguished at around 06.00 WIB.
“Initially the neighbor, Ronny, heard a noise and smoke came out. When he came out, the fire in the house to his left had grown and he screamed for help,” said Rachim.
The four victims who died in the house were Johan (35), Elvina (31), Jason (5), and a woman whose name was not yet known was about 60 years old and Johan’s father-in-law.
Tangerang City BPBD Head Deni Koeswara said the four victims were from one family. The location of the fire is currently given a police line.
“The owner of the house, Mr. Johan, his wife Elvina, his son Jason, and whose identity is not yet known is his mother-in-law,” he explained.
