-Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has come under fire in a controversial tweet related to the farmers’ strike. Maria Sharapova, who took over the trolls of the Malayalees saying that she did not know Sachin Tendulkar, ended her animosity towards Tendulkar by calling him an angel. In Kochi, Youth Congressmen set fire to Tendulkar’s coffin.
Neither former teammates nor other cricketers have come forward to publicly support Tendulkar in the controversy. But, the Malayalee player S Sreesanth Tendulkar came on the scene with support. Tendulkar Paji is a passion and many people including me dreamed of playing cricket for the country because of Tendulkar. “Thanks for being born Indian, he will always be the pride of India,” Sreesanth tweeted.
Sreesanth took up the hashtags ‘I stand with Sachin’ and ‘Nation with Sachin’. Sreesanth had contested the 2016 assembly elections as a BJP candidate in the Thiruvananthapuram constituency.

Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet questioned when pop singer Rihanna and environmental activist Greta Tunberg came out in support of the farmers’ strike. Tendulkar tweeted that outsiders should be spectators, not partners in India’s cause and that the country should stand together. Sreesanth returns to cricket after a gap of seven years and has registered to take part in the IPL star auction.
Boys movie fame Siddharth Tendulkar was publicly mocked. Siddharth Trolley said Tendulkar was of the view that 11 Indian players were enough and that England should not interfere in the Tests.
