The latest performance of Sacha Baron Cohen will remain for history. Yesterday, Saturday, the star of Borat he stormed a rally by a far-right group in Olympia, Washington, and posed as a country singer.

According to reports Consequence of Sound, the London actor contacted the organizers of the event, the group of militants of white supremacy The Washington Three Percenters, to offer themselves as the musical entertainer of the evening. He even proposed to take over the costs of the stage and the sound system.

The Washington Three Percenters accepted the offer and, when the day came, Cohen appeared with a gardener, a fake beard, and a guitar. In the song he performed before the audience, he sang about “injecting liberals and scientists with coronaviruses,” also referring to the pandemic with the phrase “the Wuhan flu.” Repeatedly, the fake musician encouraged viewers to sing with him … and some even listened to him.

At one point, the organizers realized the joke and tried to unplug their equipment. Cohen’s safety stopped them and the actor continued his performance for another eight minutes. After everyone knew it, Cohen and the band he put together for the occasion left the stage and left the scene aboard a private ambulance that was waiting for them.

According to a Twitter user, Cohen then returned to the venue in another outfit to interview the event organizers about what had gone wrong at his rally.
