Sabrina traumatized after the robbery with heavy weapons in Hornu: “He told me that I was going to die, I thought of my little boy”

Sabrina Felice was repeatedly struck by the thugs.

It was a particularly violent robbery that took place Thursday evening near Hornu (Boussu). At around 11:00 p.m., two hooded thugs, armed with bullet-proof vests and armed with a shotgun and a machine gun, burst into the Pizzeria Del Sole, located on rue de la Fontaine. The two robbers threatened the manager in order to recover the money from the safe.

The establishment was about to close. Only a few customers and some of the staff were still present. “I was sitting by the front door, chatting with my cook”says Sabrina Felice. “I saw these two people disembarking and I thought it was a joke at first …” Unfortunately, this was not the case.

The two robbers quickly became threatening. “They asked us to lie on the ground. They wanted to see the boss but he was not present. So they went after me. They pulled me by the hair and one of them forced me to follow him upstairs to access the trunk. I said there was no safe, that I did not have a key. He searched before coming back down to take his accomplice’s weapon. “

At the same time, blows were struck at customers and staff. “He went upstairs, smashed through several doors, and finally discovered a trunk. He punched me several times, including a blow in the face with the butt. I repeated that I had no key. threatened and finally shot the trunk four times to open it, which he managed to do. But the trunk was empty. “

Even more upset, the thief threatened to kill Sabrina Felice, took the contents of the central cash, about 600 euros, and left the scene with his accomplice while the police arrived at the scene. “I truly believed I was going to die. He told me it was my last day alive … I immediately thought of my 3.5 year old boy.”

This was followed by a chase through the Borinage between the thugs and the police. The thieves took the direction of Quévy then Bettignies in an attempt to escape to France. At the border, French police officers called in for reinforcement were waiting for the robbers with a harrow to burst the tires of the vehicle. But the thieves broke through the roadblock and continued on their way to Maubeuge with the four punctured tires and by shooting with the shotgun in the direction of the Belgian police.

The chase finally ended on the side of Bavay, in France, after the fugitives hit the central berm of the departmental road. The robbers still tried to escape by leaving their weapons in the vehicle before the police finally managed to arrest them a few moments later.

The file was entrusted to the federal judicial police and an investigating judge was seized by the parquet floor of Mons. The authors, originally from Frameries, are between 21 and 22 years old and are known to the judicial authorities for petty crime. They were obviously deprived of their liberty in France. The investigating judge should issue a European arrest warrant to organize the surrender of the thieves to the Belgian authorities.
