The competition in Djurgården’s central midfield is fierce. There, among others, Lucas Bergvall, Rasmus Schüller, Albin Ekdal, Magnus Eriksson, Samuel Leach Holm and Besard Sabovic make up for three starting places.
Sabovic has not been allowed to start a single one of the blue-striped’s four training matches. A situation he is unhappy with and he is not closing the door on a move.
– When you have started zero out of four games in the pre-season, you are not bursting with joy. You want to play football matches and there is tough competition. I always want to play football, if I’m not on the pitch in Djurgården I want to be somewhere else. Get a whole season where I get continuous playing time, that’s the most important thing, says the 26-year-old fotbollsthlm.se.
Sabovic tells the site that he is “absolutely not” closing the door on a move, but that there are no discussions with another club at the moment. He also states that he has not received any explanation from the coaching duo Thomas Lagerlöf and Kim Bergstrand as to why there has been no start so far.
The football channel has previously been able to tell that IFK Norrköping showed interest in Sabovic.
Sabovicb has previously played for clubs such as Mjällby, Turkish Kayserispor and Russian Khimki.
