If they missed Domantas Sabonis in the match against the Denver Nuggets, it is because the Lithuanian center had to serve a game of sanction that the NBA imposed on him yesterday.
The league informed the Californian team that their player would not be able to play his next regular season commitment after having “aggressively confronted a referee, with whom he collided“.
Thus, Sabonis had to live the match between his team and the street Nuggets, a meeting that was decided by the minimum and in which he would surely have had a positive impact like everyone else since he landed in the Kings.
The franchise expressed its disagreement with the NBA’s decision and expressed it through its communication department: “He is a consummate professional and born competitor. We are with Domas and he has our full support“.
