The successful fermentation process is evidenced by the regular “bubble”, which in a sense acts as a sign of communication that the fermenting wine gives to the winemaker – the fermentation is successful and the end result is expected to be well – fermented wine. The bubbles formed during fermentation and their bursting are used in the exhibition as a basic element of sound, with which the fabric is experimented, but not only. At the end of August, at the end of the exhibition, the sour work of art will be transformed and offered in an otherwise enjoyable way, creating a miracle drink for the artists’ association.
In order to make real wine bitter during the exhibition, the Abava winery has provided both dishes and juices, entrusting the association of artists to supervise the wine during the art event. The owner of Abava winery Mārtiņš Barkāns says about this cooperation: “I appreciate that +K+M+B are ready to take part in such an adventure and together we will try to achieve a new final product during the exhibition. In my opinion, this exhibition will allow us all to understand how experimental winemaking is – fermentation is a very lively process that must not only be monitored, but the quality of the wine depends on it. “
Sabile Art Center celebrates its one-year anniversary with this exhibition, since the architectural monument – the former synagogue building – has been renovated and opened to visitors, regularly offering professional concerts of contemporary art and music. During the exhibition until the end of August, including the traditional Sabile Wine Festival, it will be full of music concerts adapted to the vineyards and the traditions of the drink they create. The celebration of the annual anniversary of the Art Center on the opening day of the exhibition on June 17 at At 6 pm, soloists of the Latvian National Opera Sonora Vaice, Krišjānis Norvelis, Raimonds Bramanis and pianist Ilze Ozoliņa will perform an uplifting concert, performing arias from the Donicetti Opera Love drink a dating.

This cooperation has resulted in the exhibition Sabile is bubbling, creating an opportunity to learn about the transformation of local traditions into contemporary art. The exhibition is open from June 18 to August 28 at Sabile Art, Culture and Tourism Center, 4 Strautu Street, Sabile. Exhibition opening hours from Monday to Saturday at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The artists’ association + K + M + B calls itself mystics who work in the field of experimental music, establishing the genre of occult noise music. + K + M + B explores the compatibility of experimental electronic music with the use of different cultural symbols, challenging viewers to deconstruct the meanings of the cultural symbols used in their performances, as well as creating a new image system that lives independently of people’s prejudices.
