He adds: “Everything that is written about my relationship with Saudi Arabia is incorrect, and I left my political career with complete conviction and a personal decision of my own and not at the request of anyone.”

Hariri continues: “When countries seek to achieve their interests by strengthening their relationship with each other, this forces the Lebanese to turn towards each other and help themselves. All people and countries are preoccupied with their economies and problems. Therefore, solutions must be produced at home. No one will care about us and produce a solution for us. In addition to what is happening in Gaza and southern Lebanon, intervention is required to stop the crimes. But any country that comes will be concerned with its interests. It is true that there are parties that have accounts and communication with external forces, as is the case with Hezbollah with Iran, but this does not mean that the party does not have an independent decision at home. Franjieh and Azour

The President of the Republic and the government are the ones who take care of the balances independently of the sects, and the issue is not related to the balance between the sects. If they decide to elect a president tomorrow, the president can be elected to restore balance. The question is the extent to which each party is willing to sacrifice for the sake of the country. Security and political instability pushes people to return to their sects. However, there is no need to be afraid, the collapse has already occurred. Unless the parties change all their policies and methodologies, it is not possible to emerge from the collapse and pursue the progress achieved by countries. Lebanon is out of this world. Lebanon is no longer respected by the world because of its absence of a compass, and because of the lack of internal reform and respect for the state and institutions. Not taking any step (reform) is a crime. So what are they waiting for? I made a settlement, took responsibility for my actions, and suspended my political work.
The Future Movement…and Jumblatt
