It is with great regret that we inform you about the death of grandmaster Joanna Dworakowska (October 21, 1978-April 13, 2024).
Joanna Dworakowska was, among others, three-time Polish Women’s Champion in classical chess, two-time Polish Champion in rapid chess and three-time Polish Champion in blitz chess.
She represented Poland at the Chess Olympiad six times (including winning bronze together with her team in 2002). In 2009, she won a bronze medal for the individual result at the World Team Championships.
At the European Team Championships, she and her team won, among others: gold in 2005 and silver in 2007. She won the silver medal for the individual result in 2009.
