/ world today news/ Yesterday I was surprised by the news that Plamen Oresharski was nominated as a presidential candidate by the Initiative Committee. I was even more surprised by the comments that it was my candidacy.
I want to state very clearly that I strongly support gen. Radev. It is the chance for change and a new beginning for Bulgaria in the upcoming elections. A chance for a foreign policy with self-confidence and character, for real concern for the national security of the country, for social commitment – as a sign of a modern state.
I have repeatedly stated that the competition in these elections is between BSP and GERB. The many candidates who were associated with the BSP will not mislead the citizens who well understand what the real opportunity is to change the status quo. I expect it will soon become clear which political force will support Mr. Oresharski’s candidacy.
