Flames rise from the train
As the Berlin Police reported on Sunday (November 3) that the burning train was a regional train. It is said that the train driver detected smoke on the vehicle at around 9:40 pm at the Ahrensfelde S-Bahn station. He then called the police and the fire department and evacuated the five people on the train.
According to initial findings, a diesel locomotive train car had caught fire and was completely engulfed in flames on Saturday night. Pictures are circulating showing the fire burning out of all the windows of the train. The train burned down completely.
The fire also spread to the station building before the fire department could put out the inferno of flames. No one was hurt. The Fire Commissioner from the State Criminal Police Office has taken over the investigation into the cause of the fire.
