After dragging out launch dates, AMD has now confirmed when two of their three upcoming Ryzen 7000X3D processors will launch. Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D will launch sharp on February 28.
When AMD unveiled the Ryzen 7000X3D series with its stacked cache memory at CES 2023, there was no mention of release dates for the three processors unveiled. Later, it was rumored that the three devices would be launched on February 14. A rumor that later turned out to be incorrect.
Now AMD has finally confirmed when the three processors will be launched. It will be a somewhat staggered launch with two out of three processors reaching store shelves first. Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 9 7950X3D will launch on February 28. The price tags here land at $599 for the 7900X3D and $699 for the 7950X3D.
Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D will then be joined by their octa-core sibling Ryzen 7 7800X3D on April 6. This gets a price tag of 449 dollars. The top model in the Ryzen 7000X3D series thus gets the same target price as the regular Ryzen 9 7950X. The other two models are, however, a few hundred bucks above their siblings without stacked cache memory.
Those who are waiting for these new processors do not have to wait too long. In any case, not if it is one of the top models you have your sights set on.
