Ryzen 7 5800X3D has a recommended price in Western stores, for how much with us?

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor has already been added to stores such as Newegg or Microcenter, which offers it for a recommended $ 449 and does not appear to be a highly scarce commodity. In Western stores, the market is in stock even after a few hours, and the same in our country, although it has not yet reached a wide range of e-shops. –

And as it was clear in advance, although the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and 5800X processors have the same recommended prices and AMD has not announced a discount on the older model anywhere, the old 5800X is significantly cheaper. It is Newegg who is offering it for 359 USD and we will pay just as much for Ryzen 7 5800X3D as for 5800X at the beginning of its sale, ie about 12 thousand crowns.

In the meantime, the price of the 5800X has already dropped to CZK 8,500 with tax, which could be the reason why the 5800X3D is still in stock. The V-Cache memory is used only in games and although the 5800X3D is very fast in them, customers may want to spend the difference 3,500 crowns for a better graphics card, without whose performance the best game processor from AMD will be useless.

But we can also remember the cryptocurrency that flashed here last November, when it was still conceivable that there would be more processors with V-Cache and they would come to market sooner. It’s about Raptoreum (RTM), which is mined on processors, and in its case, the cache capacity of such a processor is as important as memory throughput in Etherea mining. However, Raptorea’s fame was very fleeting, as its value briefly peaked sometime in the middle of last November (almost 8 cents per RTM) and since then it has only been a sharp fall and then a gradual decline at the current about 0.6 cents, that is, returned to the level of the “pre-November” period. It is difficult for the new Ryzen to revive this cryptocurrency. –

However, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is generally a better choice for really powerful game sets than the modern Core i9, although not clearly. As the HardwareUnboxed server test shows, the resulting FPS can vary greatly depending on the specific game. But there is a price on the part of AMD, because even today we will pay 3 thousand more for the Core i9-12900KF, and we are not even talking about the much more expensive 12900KS.

AMD may still get some on the market weaker Ryzen desktop processorsbut from older stocks, which belong to the generation 4000. Next time it should be the Ryzen 7000 and perhaps also the desktop APU Ryzen 6000 with RDNA 2, from which an interesting low-end gaming PC could be formed.-
