Grabbed the entry of Softbank from Fukui in July, but out of strength in just 3 months
Pitcher Ryo Akiyoshi, who was out of Softbank, updated his SNS on the 30th and said he would play in an independent league next season. “Due to the contract, we will bring the team name back later,” but the new world was settled.
“Next season I will return to the independent league as a player and pitching coach. I would like to continue pitching so that the fans can support me. I would like to teach young players what I have done over the years and I would do my best to teach as many players as possible so they can go to NPB”.
Akiyoshi joined Yakult in 3rd place in the 2013 Draft. He had been with Nippon-Ham since 2019 as a trade, and after the end of 2021, he was a free “no race” contract. Subsequently, he joined the independent Japan Sea Ocean League, Fukui, and joined Softbank in July. Although he got his long-awaited return to NPB, he was notified that he was out of action in just three months.
