The fourth world tennis player of Belarus, Aryna Sabalenkova, managed 6: 3, 4: 6 and 6: 3 with Jelena Rybakin from Kazakhstan in the fourth round of Wimbledon. The tournament duo will play in the grand slam quarterfinals for the first time in their careers.

Twenty-three-year-old Sabalenkova entered Rybakin’s for the third time in her career and, as this year in Abu Dhabi and the year before last in Wuhan, needed three sets to win. Her next opponent will be Tunisian Ons Džabúrová, who turned the match around with Igá Šwiateková from Poland.
Jabur lost the first set 5: 7, but then she beat last year’s winner Roland Garros twice 6: 1. The 26-year-old Tunisian is the first Arab player in the 1974 Wimbledon quarterfinals of Egyptian Ismail El Shafaj in 1974.

Matteo Berrettini also finished the long wait in the men’s competition, who managed 6: 4, 6: 3 and 6: 1 with Ilya Ivaška from Belarus and was the first Italian to enter the quarterfinals in the All England Club after 23 years. The ninth player in the world imitated Davide Sanguinetti, who dropped out in the quarterfinals in 1998.
