Ryan Reynolds to Star in Snapchat Series with Will Smith’s Westbrook Media


Like many Americans who have been stuck at home amid the coronavirus pandemic, Ryan Reynolds is using his spare time to learn some new skills.

The Deadpool actor and his company Maximum Effort have partnered with Will Smith’s Westbrook Media to launch the Snapchat series “Ryan Doesn’t Know,” in which you’ll learn new trades with the help of experts in their fields. The 12-episode series, which will air exclusively on Snapchat, will premiere on January 30 and will have new episodes every other day.

In Ryan Doesn’t Know, Reynolds will learn ice sculpting with Shintaro Okamoto, VFX tricks with Trevor Bell, weightlifting with Ulisses World, latte art with Melannie Aquino, flower sculpting with Aurea Molaei, and ax throwing with Cliffton Creque, among others.

“Ryan is one of the funniest people out there and seeing him connect with and learn from these incredibly talented people is a real joy,” said Westbrook Media President Brad Haugen. “He and the Maximum Effort team were incredible partners on this project and of course we love working with the phenomenal team at Snap. We’re excited for Ryan to learn a few things and ready to bring more fun to Snapchatters around the world. ”

“Ryan Doesn’t Know” is the third show Westbrook has produced for Snapchat. The company also worked with Jaden Smith on the social justice series “The Solution Committee” and with Will Smith on pandemics “Will From Home,” the first season of which was viewed by more than 35 million Snapchatters after its debut in spring 2020. .
