In an interview for Peopleat the Bring Change to Mind Revels & Revelations 11 event in New York on Monday, October 9, the Deadpool star revealed that he dares to talk to his children “about everything.”
“It’s true when I say I’m very interested in their day and how things are going,” the 46-year-old actor said, before noting that he and his wife, actress Blake Lively , emphasized the importance of “self-awareness” to their children.
“For me, the best part of my day is when I walk them to school and pick them up. I think as parents we are much better equipped to deal with the rigors of youth through our children now than when I was growing up, he explained. It’s totally different now. People are much more self-aware. And that’s the thing we value the most, is self-awareness with our children. Not to be happy, not to be anything, but to just be self-aware and welcome everything. »
The Canadian actor and his wife of 36 years are parents to James, eight, Inez, seven, Betty, four, and a baby, born in February.
