At one point, it seemed unlikely that actor Ryan Reynolds would have a chance to shine as the Deadpool character in a solo movie. It proved the public wrong when Fox finally gave the green light and released not only Deadpool but the equally successful sequel Deadpool 2 . Since then, things have gotten exciting on that front, as Disney acquired Fox and thus the rights to the movie franchise from Deadpool . This meant that the iconic Merc with a Mouth could finally join the Marvel Cinematic Universe . Interestingly, however, it appears that Ryan Reynolds has a few stipulations, one of which involves the actress of Black Widow , Scarlett Johansson.
As reported by the informant Daniel Richtman It seems like Ryan Reynolds is trying to avoid working with Scarlett Johansson on any MCU projects. Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson were married at one point in their lives. However, now that the two are apart, it seems Ryan Reynolds would rather avoid working with her than being on the same project together.
While the exact reasons are not given exactly, it seems that it is most likely due to the discomfort or upsetting feelings of having been married once. Which, to be fair, isn’t exactly a difficult concept to grasp. Especially if the actor of Deadpool he just wants to make sure there is a smooth production for everyone involved in future films.
Of course, many former celebrity partners in the past have still managed to work together. So there is always the possibility that Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson can reconcile on a professional level. Or, with clever editing, they could even appear in the same movie without having to be on the same set together. And as always, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, so perhaps there is nothing between the two after all.
Regardless, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow character is thus far dead within the ongoing continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Apart from his upcoming solo movie , there’s not much reason to expect her and Ryan Reynolds to get a chance together anyway. On the other hand, with the ongoing multiverse plots being built, anything could happen. So we will have to wait and see what happens.
