Ryan Reynolds made headlines in October when he announced “a bit of a gap year” from acting, after finishing his new Apple TV Plus movie, Spirited.

The 45-year-old actor didn’t say much more about his break from acting at the time, but he recently spoke about why he’s taking a break in a new interview with LinkedIn.

The Deadpool star said the reason for the breakup was simple: He didn’t want to waste time with his three children, James, 6, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2, who he shares with his wife Blake Lively.
