The actor can, among other things, reveal that the three daughters have been a great driving force around the openness about mental health. Together with Blake Lively, he has children James (6), Inez (4) and Betty (1).

– Part of it is that I have three daughters at home, and being a parent is to be a role model when it comes to behavior, show what it is like to be sad and show what it is like to be stressed, or angry. There is room for all these things, says the 44-year-old.

Stigmatized

Reynolds believes that it is important to remove the stigma around mental health, and rather create an open debate around the topic. Furthermore, he says that loneliness was one of the things he felt most when things were at their worst.

– I know that when I felt completely at the bottom, it was usually because I felt loneliness in connection with what I felt. So I think when people talk about it, do not necessarily dwell on it, or complain about it, but I think it is important to talk about it, he continues.
