Ryan Reynolds and her family are preparing for a low-key and socially estranged Christmas. The Hollywood star went to Instagram to share a message on staying safe on vacation amid the growing coronavirus pandemic. The Deadpool actor, and father of three, explained that due to circumstances, his family will not be reunited with relatives this year, and he sympathized that other families are also responsible.
“My kids won’t be seeing their grandparents this year for Christmas,” wrote Ryan Reynolds. Or friends or aunts and uncles. Stinks”. The actor added: “I take my hat off to so many others who do the same.” The actor recently spoke in a video chat in November, while promoting his new animated comedy The Croods: A New Age, about how much he has enjoyed hanging out with his family in the middle of his quarantine.
I have a new baby. She’s just over a year old, so I really like hanging out with her, because it’s fun to watch her grow up, ”he said. “It’s been interesting, 2020 has been a strange year,” reflected Reynolds. “I really appreciate the time that I have been able to spend with my family, while still recognizing that the world is a crazy place right now and it is very challenging for a lot of people.”
A new experience
In the upcoming action comedy Free Guy, Reynolds plays Guy, a bank teller who discovers that he is actually a background character in an open-world video game similar to Grand Theft Auto. When the virtual world and everyone in it are threatened, the superhero teams up with Molotov Girl (Jodie Comer) to save the day as the heroic Blue Shirt Guy.
20th Century Studio released the official trailer for Free Guy, featuring Lil Rel Howery as Guy’s best friend in Free City, alongside Joe Kerry, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Taika Waititi. Recently, Reynolds was also on Zoom with director Shawn Levy and his cast of Free Guy for a virtual press conference, during which Reynolds was asked if making the movie had been the best experience of his life.
