Ryan Reynolds and Mandy Moore Criticize SAG-AFTRA’s Halloween Costume Bans

Mexico City.- Ryan Reynolds and Mandy Moore criticized the bans made by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA), about the Halloween costumes of characters from this year’s impacted movies and shows.

We ask that you negotiate in good faith on our behalf. Many people in all aspects of this industry have been making huge sacrifices for months. Come back to the table and get a fair deal so everyone can get back to work. Please and thank you”.

According to reports from Page Six, Former SAG-AFTRA president Melissa Gilbert also criticized the union’s move.

THIS is what they came up with? Literally no one cares what they wear for Halloween. I mean, do you really think this kind of childish stuff is going to end the strike? We look like a joke.

Please tell me you are going to make this rule go away and go negotiate! For God’s sake, people are suffering so much and this is what you have to say… come on. “This is the kind of nonsense that keeps us on strike,” he wrote.

Ryan Reynolds also sarcastically expressed his concern about the use of costumes on actors’ children.

SAG-AFTRA initially released guidelines Thursday in an infographic, encouraging members to dress up as generalized characters and figures, such as ghosts and spiders from animated television shows like Barbie and Stranger Things.

The guidelines also advise that if members choose to dress as characters and shocking figures, they should not share images of their appearance on their networks.

Let’s use our collective power to send a loud and clear message to our striking employers that we will not promote their content without a fair contract,” the infographic said.
