Ryan Garcia vows to end Jake Paul’s boxing career: ‘I’m going to knock him out’

Jake Paul‘s next opponent sparked a lot of controversy after defeating Mike Tyson by unanimous decision, but one boxer was very serious about making it happen.

In fact, Ryan Garcia has vowed to end Paul’s entire boxing career if he can do something about it.

“He tried to hit Uncle Mike,” Garcia said in an interview with Uncrowned.Ariel Helwani Show“On Tuesday. “Like I said, I feel the same way I feel about Manny Pacquiao and I feel the same way about this.

“We said we could run it one day. He came to my gym in Victorville a long time ago and then visited me with the Canelo (Alvarez) camp. This was before he boxed. So I kind of gave birth. I’m here to end his boxing career.”

Garcia is already scheduled to fight Rukiya Anpo in Tokyo on December 30, so the fight is already scheduled for later this year.

Anpo faced Manny Pacquiao in July, which made Garcia want to fight him. The situation is similar with Garcia wanting to fight Paul.

Troubled boxer Ryan Garcia has been banned for a year after a positive PED test, sparking a social media rant.

but, Oscar De La HoyaHe, who owns Golden Boy Promotions, which Garcia is affiliated with, put the hammer down on the boxer’s exhibition with Anpo on Tuesday night.

“Golden Boy Promotions has exclusive rights to Ryan Garcia’s fights,” he wrote on X. “The organizers of this event have acknowledged this and agreed in writing that our approval is required for this event to occur. “There are no such signs.” -off is given. “Starting today, there will be no events with Ryan Garcia.”

Garcia is serving a one-year suspension that expires in April 2025 after testing positive for the banned substance ostarine prior to his fight with Devin Haney, which was ruled a draw despite the latter winning in the ring.

The ban prevented Garcia from competing in professional boxing, but it was also the reason he agreed to an exhibition that was not considered a professional fight.

Garcia had a roller coaster ride leading up to the Haney bout, with many questioning whether he was in the right headspace to enter the ring. Garcia has been criticized for his erratic behavior, claiming he was smoking marijuana on air.

“I was going through a difficult time in my life, and I’m grateful that I got through that moment in my life,” Garcia told Helwani. “I feel much calmer, and I think that’s how I want to live. I’m not that crazy about my life. That’s not good for me.”

Now, if a Garcia-Paul fight is written, it will be interesting to see at what weight class these two will fight. Paul has stepped up to fight Tyson in a sanctioned fight and Garcia has said he would move up to 185 pounds if necessary.

Garcia weighs around 165 to 170 pounds, but said he plans to return to 140 to 147 pounds when he is able to resume his professional career.

But weight doesn’t matter to Garcia. Because he was sure he would put Paul on canvas.

“If Jake fights the way he fought Mike, I truly believe I will knock him out in four (or) five rounds,” Garcia said.
