The main fight of the evening lasted all 12 rounds; Garcia won by decision. He knocked down the champion three times, but failed to win the championship belt, as he did not fit into the weight category during the weigh-in.
In the first round, Garcia rocked Haney with a left hook, but failed to properly finish. Then Haney was more active and generally had more chances, until Garcia sent him to the canvas in the seventh round. This time Ryan managed to finish better, but Devin clinch very actively and managed to survive.
In the tenth round, Ryan again managed to send Haney to the floor, and he again managed to survive this moment with the help of clinches, to which the referee did not react. In the 11th round, Devin was knocked down again after a left hook.
Further, Garcia did not force events and calmly boxed in the final round. Result of the fight: 112-112, 114-110, 115-109 in favor of Garcia.
