Ryan Blaney dominates final trials

The final practice session in the NASCAR Cup Series, for the season finale, was dominated by defending champion Ryan Blaney. William Byron and Joey Logano are in the top 10, while Tyler Reddick is outside the top 20.

It is therefore Ryan Blaney who draws first during this finale of the 2024 season in the NASCAR Cup Series. The reigning champion of the discipline set the reference time for testing at Phoenix Raceway in 27.171 seconds at an average of 132.480 mph. He is ahead of Martin Truex Jr, Kyle Larson, William Byron and Austin Cindric for the top 5. Corey LaJoie, Ty Gibbs, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano and Chase Briscoe complete the top 10.

While three of the four drivers competing for the title are in the top 10, Tyler Reddick is the lowest ranked in twenty-first position.

No less than thirty-five drivers completed at least ten consecutive laps and in this exercise, the Team Penske is above his rivals, since Ryan Blaney is ahead of his teammate Joey Logano. Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, William Byron, Chase Elliott, Austin Cindric, Martin Truex Jr, Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top 10.

The qualifying session will take place this Saturday before the NASCAR XFINITY Series finale.
