Since the beginning of January, RVC-Lipetsk has already cleared 850 blockages in sewerage networks. Water utility specialists in Lipetsk remove up to 40 blockages a day, the mayor’s office reports.
The main reason for the incorrect operation of the city sewerage system is violation of the rules for using sewerage.
“Napkins made of nonwoven materials are the main problem of sewerage networks. They do not dissolve in water, they stretch and intertwine with each other, as a result of which pumping and trash-holding equipment is disabled,” said Oleg Bespoldenov, director of production at RVC-Lipetsk.
By the way, the number of blockages in networks is growing. For comparison, in January 2023, RVC-Lipetsk specialists cleared 692 blockages. Back then, specialists responded to similar requests about 20 times a day, today – from 30 to 40.
