After 16 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 – 2 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by Rymarenko. Two minutes later, Rymarenko escaped alone against Chudé, who set off for a corner kick. The referee announced the ball for the home team, but the Serede goalkeeper admitted that the ball was flowing. Sereď was close to reducing the score but Fábry’s shot in the 23rd minute was aimed only at the crossbar, and Jureškin from the second wave could not reach it. Five minutes before the end of the first half, Regáli and Boďa rushed to defend Sereda, the first named invented a pass for Boďa and he did not give Chudý a chance – 0: 3. A minute ago, Sereď also scored a goal before half-time, the ball reached Mateus after a car throw-in, and he aimed precisely from behind the penalty area and overcame Krajčirík.
Until the second half, coach Jarábek sent three new players to the field, but it was still Ružomberok that was dangerous. With 74 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 – 0 lead as Sereď flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. The result from the first half has not changed.
