Ruud Gullit is a fan of Jerdy Schouten. The former Dutch international hopes that the PSV midfielder will be called up for the Dutch national team in the short term, while he knows that Ajax fans would have loved to see Schouten come to Amsterdam.

Schouten is discussed at Rondo’s table. He exchanged Bologna for PSV last summer. “Ajax fans would have loved to have him there,” says Gullit. “They all wonder: why don’t we have it?”
Gullit then says that he is a ‘fan’ of Schouten, who has not been called up for the Dutch national team for this international match. “I hope he will be there soon. He is doing very well: when you just come to PSV and you can play as the last man with two fingers up your nose… What you see with him is that he always plays forward. His chance with the Dutch team may still come.”
