In March, Ruud de Wild told during his radio show on NPO Radio 2 that he has colon cancer and that is why he cannot be heard on the radio for a while. “A few months ago I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I wanted to keep that quiet.”
At that time, Ruud had already gone under the knife once, but it was already clear that he would have to undergo another operation. The operation initially seemed to go well, but a few days later Ruud had to go under the knife again because of complications.
