Ruud de Wild: We stopped at the very best moment with Cielke and Thijs

Ruud de Wild responded to this afternoon in his program on NPO Radio 2 the sudden departure from his sidekicks Cielke Sijben and Thijs Maalderink. “We stopped at the very best moment,” he said. “I worked really well with Thijs and Cielke, but at some point people go their own way.”

Cielke and Thijs can no longer be heard in the afternoon program of Radio 2 since last Monday. Ruud was sick at home last week due to corona and so he could only respond to the departure of his sidekicks today. “KRO-NCRV has said goodbye to Cielke and Thijs. They no longer work here. ”

According to the Radio 2 DJ, the intention was that the two would continue to work for the program until the end of this year. “In the near future we would find out together how we would make a new program, which would start in January. That turned out to be very ugly on the street and that has led us to stop earlier. ”

Ruud’s afternoon program will be overhauled from January. “There will be a different kind of program, I’m going to do something different in my life. But more on that later ”, he said.
