Ruud de Wild will say goodbye to sidekicks Cielke Sijben and Thijs Maalderink at the end of this year. That reports RTL Boulevard. According to the TV program, KRO-NCRV is working on a new interpretation of the afternoon program on NPO Radio 2. “They can’t say anything about it yet,” said host Luuk Ikink last night.
KRO-NCRV does not want to confirm the reporting. The broadcaster emphasizes that Ruud will stay with Radio 2. The jock has been making the afternoon show between 16:00 and 18:00 on the public channel for almost four years now.
Cielke has been a sidekick from the very beginning at Ruud on Radio 2. Thijs Maalderink came later: he succeeded Martijn Bruggeman in December 2018, who then left KRO-NCRV.
