The king’s income consists of two parts:
From A-component can be seen as the salary and follows the development of civil servant salaries. That is 998.00 euros for the king in 2021, and 1.0 million euros in 2022.
From B-component4.9 million euros, is for staff and material support. In 2022, that will be 5.1 million euros.
In the Financial Statute of the Royal Household (WFSKH) Act of 1972, which was again approved by the House of Representatives in 2008, a fixed amount was established at the time and that has grown along with the index over the years.
In addition, the royal house receives an additional EUR 30 million annually for functional costs, which include, for example, the carriage park, the lighting and heating of the palaces and telephone costs. Expenditures are declared to the Ministry of General Affairs.
