Russia’s view on NATO and G20 virtual summit

Russia traditionally believes that NATO “stands against the Russian Federation.”

The Kremlin believes that Putin was listened to attentively at the G20 virtual summit and that this is a significant step. And the absence of US President Joe Biden from Putin, they say, “did not affect the course of the meeting.”

This was stated by the mouthpiece of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, as reported by the Russian media.

According to him, Putin allegedly gave “detailed explanations” about Ukraine at the summit. At the same time, other members listened to the dictator’s speech, and he listened to his colleagues.

“This is a significant step,” Peskov said.

In addition, Russia traditionally believes that NATO is “opposing the Russian Federation” and is approaching the borders of a terrorist country, and this “cannot but cause concern and response measures.”

“Europe does not want to listen to Russia’s concerns and ignores the principle of the indivisibility of security. Russia maintains contacts with Saudi Arabia, the OPEC meeting will take place as soon as it is ready,” Peskov added.

Let us recall that US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping abandoned the online G20 meeting held on November 22.
